Why we built this
About ShopThisList
Shopping a list usually means typing every item into a search bar, one at a time, hoping you didn't miss anything. ShopThisList started as a way to skip that: add your list any way you've got it, and let it read and build itself.
List in → cart out
- Add your list
- AI reads & matches it
- One cart on Amazon
Our mission
Eliminate the friction of list shopping for busy families and small businesses by providing a smarter, instant way to turn physical lists into completed orders.
Our story
ShopThisList was born around a kitchen table, with several kids' school supply lists spread out and a laptop in the middle.
What followed was hours of searching — every item typed into the search bar one at a time, pack sizes cross-checked against quantities, tabs multiplying. And it clicked that everyone else in the community was at their own table doing the exact same thing, the same week, with the same lists.
There had to be a better way. So we built one: read the whole list at once, match every item to the right product and pack size, and hand back a cart that's ready to check out.
How it works
From list to cart, in three steps
- 01
Add your list
Upload a photo or PDF, type it out, or paste a link — groceries, recipes, classroom needs, home projects, trips, parties and events, whatever you've got.
- 02
We read and match it
AI reads every item on your list and matches each one to a real Amazon product, sized to the quantity you need.
- 03
One click to your cart
Review the matched list, then add to your Amazon cart in a single click. You can still adjust quantities or remove items in your cart before you check out.
Not sure where to start? The Shop Lists are there for inspiration — ready-made, fully matched lists that show the kinds of shopping the tool is good for, no upload or account needed.
Who it's for
Anyone shopping from a list
Who we are
A small, independent team

ShopThisList is built and run by the two of us, working on it directly — the people reading your feedback are the same ones shipping the fixes. It started with our own kids' supply lists, and it's still the tool we wanted that night at the kitchen table.
How we make money
Straightforward, and worth saying plainly
Running ShopThisList costs money — Vision AI to read every list, product search to match each item, and web hosting to keep it all online. We're not influencers, and we have no aspiration to be: no sponsorships, no chasing trends, no pushing products for a brand. We built ShopThisList to solve a real problem and give people the gift of time back — affiliate commissions are just how we keep the lights on while we do it.
We're still in alpha
We're still tuning how well items get matched and sized. If something looks off, we want to hear about it.
